Meet Oliver
Hi, I’m Oliver.
What got me started traveling?
I’m a Sagittarius.
…And also, in 2013 I spent a summer studying Arabic in Morocco, and ever since then I’ve been chasing my adventures across the globe any chance I get.
If you want to solo travel but aren’t sure where to start, wonder what kind of trips you can take with your dog, or feel most alive when you’re scuba diving, zip lining, or questioning your own wisdom for eating street food, then this blog is for you. I’m here to bring you my tips & tricks, hidden gems, and honest stories to provide you support and maybe a couple laughs on your journey to create your best, most adventurous life as your truest, most authentic self.
A bit more about me
I love books and reading, and I think reading so many books as a child about far off places contributed to my desire to travel (I’m looking at you, Magic Tree House series… now only if I could time travel, too)
I was vegetarian for four years, and eat mostly plant-based now, so you’ll see plenty of veg-friendly restaurants when I talk about food in my travels!
I get carsick in buses and vans, which I think developed after a year of many many curvy road trips in Morocco. For this reason, I’d usually rather be the driver on long trips.

Some memorable travel experiences
- Eating sea urchin in Morocco
- Watching lava flow into the ocean in Hawai’i
- Scuba diving for the first time in Cancun
- Running a half mile through the streets of Utrecht with my suitcase at 3am in order to catch a train
- Watching the toddlers I cared for learn to walk while I was an au pair in Guam
- Discovering soft chocolate dipped cones in Quebec
